Come get your thrills on the BMX track at Elings Park this summer! BMX camp is a fantastic opportunity to learn BMX or refine current skills. The camp is designed for riders of all levels and abilities to improve basic skills and to introduce track etiquette, while putting safety first. BMX is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States and is now slated to be a part of the 2008 Olympics. The Elings Park track is home to several nationally ranked BMX riders that are Olympic hopefuls, making the track an Olympic Training Facility! Your child needs a functioning bike (preferably without a kickstand) and a helmet.

Dale Bowers has operated Santa Barbara BMX for 15 years. Dale has raced and participated in BMX events for the past 30 years and was the first sponsored rider in Santa Barbara. Dale currently trains and coaches several young athletes for competition and operates the Elings Park BMX track two evenings per week. Dale and his experienced staff will guide your child through all of the intricacies of BMX. The staff will include Chantel Blanchet and Jarret Kolich who are both nationally ranked professional riders and are considered to be 2008 Olympic hopefuls. |
