Benches thoughtfully placed throughout Elings Park offer moments of rest framed by some of the most beautiful views in the region. Each location is unique, tucked beneath shady trees, set along scenic hiking trails, overlooking vibrant sports fields, or perfectly positioned to take in sweeping vistas of downtown Santa Barbara, surrounding neighborhoods, the coastline, harbor, beaches, and the Channel Islands beyond.
Oaks
More than 250 native Coast Live Oak and California Island Oak trees are planted at Elings Park, enriching the landscape for generations to come. The newly planted oaks lining Jerry Harwin Parkway are available as naming opportunities, offering a meaningful way to honor a loved one, celebrate a family, or commemorate a lasting connection to the Park. Each tree stands as a living tribute, a legacy that will grow, endure, and be enjoyed by the community for decades.
Currently between three and six feet tall, these young oaks are just beginning their journey, destined to become magnificent, enduring landmarks.
