Park Hours
Current daily hours: 7 a.m. to sunset.
This allows two-legged and four-legged park guests to safely find their way to their cars, bikes, or neighborhood gates with some daylight.
Hours change seasonally, depending on the time of sunset.
Exceptions to closing hours:
Players in approved and organized night sporting events
Guests at Park private and special events
The Park is closed to cars on December 25 for Elings Park’s “Car-free Christmas.”
Walkers, bikers, runners, strollers, and EPOG members are welcome to enjoy the park without vehicular traffic.
Admission
Park admission is free.
Parking
Weekdays: free
Weekends: $6 per car, per day, Saturdays and Sundays only.
No overnight parking is allowed. Violators will be towed at vehicle owner’s expense.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted within the Park, including use of electronic cigarettes and vaping.
Dogs
Only dogs with EPDOG memberships are allowed in Elings Park. For EPDOG information, please visit Off Leash Dogs.

No camping or overnight parking are allowed in Elings Park.
Drones
Drones are not allowed inside the Park, except for approved videography.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found is located in the Park administration offices, at the top of Jerry Harwin Parkway, which is open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wildlife
Do not feed wildlife. Feeding wildlife lowers their sense of fear of humans and can condition them to approach people on their own. Properly dispose of garbage in secured containers to avoid indirectly feeding wildlife.
Alcohol
Alcohol is not permitted in Elings Park other than at an official organized event.
Drinking Fountains
Water is available for both humans and dogs at all restrooms, and at Singleton Pavilion, Godric Grove, and Las Positas Tennis Center.
Food
There is no food service or food available for sale in the Park.
Picnic Areas
Several picnic tables and grills scattered around the softball fields are available to the public, first come, first served. Three group picnic areas are available for rental. For rental information, visit Picnic Site.
BBQs
Barbecues are available for public use at Godric Grove, Singleton Pavilion, near the softball fields, and at three group picnic areas (only when those sites are not reserved for private or special events). Only charcoal briquettes are allowed for use.
Bicycling
- No cycling on landscapes
- Pedestrians have the right of way at all times
- At crosswalks, cyclists must slow down, yield to pedestrians, proceed with caution
- Obey all traffic laws such as stop signs and the 15-mph speed limit
- Travel at a slower speed in response to crowds, weather conditions, or emergencies
- Obey all “ONE-WAY” signs and arrows
- Cyclists under age 14 must wear a helmet; helmets are recommended for every cyclist, regardless of age
BMX Track
The BMX track is currently open only at certain times. For more information, visit BMX.
Paragliding & Hang Gliding
Paragliding and hang gliding are allowed in the park only under the direction of one of the Park’s approved outfitters. For more information, visit Paragliding & Hang Gliding.
Remote-Control Airplane Airfield
Flying of remote-controlled airplanes is allowed only at the Airfield and only by members of Santa Barbara Radio Control Modelers. For membership information, visit Remote-Control Airplane Airfield.
Remote-control Cars – Channel Islands Raceway
Channel Islands Raceway is open only at certain times and one must be a member in order to use the track. For more information, visit Remote-Control Car Raceway.
Sporting Fields
The Park’s fields are available for informal use by the public only when they are not reserved for organized team play.
Las Positas Tennis Center
