NEW! One week only – mountain bikers aged 7 to 17 improve their skills while exploring the trails in Elings Park.

Campers learn correct body positioning and how to prepare, execute, and control the ride – making it safer and more fun. Instructors Arielle Miller, EdD, and Tad Lent II have decades of riding and coaching experience, and have completed Bike Instructor Certification Program (BICP) ride leader training.

Each camper must provide their own helmet and mountain bike, and wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and closed-toe shoes.

Tad Lent II is a BICP Level 1 certified mountain bike coach (he’s pursuing his BICP 2 certification this summer) and is also certified by the Red Cross in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. He rides racing bikes and mountain bikes, and last year finished second in the overall 40+ Expert Downhill Class in the SW Downhill Series. Tad operates Bicycle Deliverance (BicycleDeliverance.com), a coaching and guiding mountain biking company, and is also an instructor with Ninja Mountain Bike Performance. He enjoys sharing his passion with others and offering them tools to enjoy mountain biking even more – and more safely.

Arielle Miller is a BICP Level 1 certified mountain bike coach with first aid, CPR, and wilderness first aid certifications. She has coached at the Sugar Plum Fest and International Women in Sports Day, trains the La Cañada Mountain Bike Team, and sells merchandise at bikezandbarbellz.com. Arielle holds a Doctor of Education from the University of Southern California and has spent 20 years with the Los Angeles Unified School District, coaching teachers to enhance their instructional programs. She strives to create a supportive environment that fosters confidence and encourages more people to embrace the world of mountain biking.
